Picking a college is a sweet decision

Just like picking a donut from your favorite local baker, picking what college you’ll go to can be an difficult decision. Luckily one of the most important tools for students in this situation is their financial aid award letter—a document sent out by schools they’ve been accepted to that highlights the student’s financial aid package. Unfortunately for students there’s no set template for schools to use for award letters. This makes it even more important for families to understand what information is in each letter and how that affects how much each school would cost for their student.

We created an integrated campaign of “do’s and do-nut’s” that set out to help families interpret their financial aid award letters. While helping them during their decision making process we also promote our free college planning tools and resources as additional resources. Our primary audiences included high school seniors, their families, and the media, so we produced materials that grabbed attention and blew competitors’ materials out of the water with humor, mouth-watering imagery, and everyone’s secret love for a fresh donut.
